About Dan

Welcome,

I went into this profession because I believe that I can be that person who you reach out to, who helps you to re-emerge from your suffering with renewed strength, purpose and peace.  I have an M.A. in Counselling and am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario.

I have experience working with  young adults, middle aged adults and retirees.  I have helped people with issues including grief, trauma, life dissatisfaction, anxiety, depression, relationship troubles, identity questions and many others.  I look forward to helping you as well.

I integrate a number of approaches to better address your specific needs.  Some of the approaches I draw from include  Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (an approach which aids in organizing and re-assessing the rationality and usefulness of unhelpful thoughts) and Emotion Focused Therapy (where we connect cognitive understandings and insight with emotional processing ).

Overall, I aim to be an outlet for you to be able to share and explore topics which you may be unable to share with anyone else.  I hope to be the person who aids you in discovering your unique needs in life and helps you to change so that these needs can be met.
